In collaboration with the company Venten OÜ, the measurement laboratory of TTK UAS is now equipped with a new coordinate-measuring machine Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex 574. The device can measure with high accuracy intricate geometrical components and perform automated measurements.
According to lector Peter Šverns, measuring machines are the cornerstone of modern quality control in the field of engineering mechanics and, therefore, it is of utmost importance to use them in the study process of the Institute of Technology.
„The new device will be used in the practical classes of measurement techniques, student projects, and in research and development projects of the University,“ said Šverns.
