Incoming Exchange Students

Exchange students are students who are already enrolled in their home country at a higher education institution that has signed the Erasmus+ programme agreement with the TTK University of Applied Sciences. TTK UAS accepts exchange students through the Erasmus+ programme.

Students can apply to TTK University of Applied Sciences to study for one or two semesters and afterwards they can transfer the credits obtained to their home institution. The Erasmus+ coordinator of their home institution nominates the students for their studies.

Course Offer in English for Exchange Students

TTK University of Applied Sciences offers full study programmes at Bachelor’s level with the main focus on engineering fields. The official language of instruction for all of our full study programmes is Estonian.

Each academic year, our academic units offer a selection of courses in English that are available for Erasmus+ exchange students.

The offer for the academic year 2024/25 is here.
The offer for the academic year 2023/24 is here.*

*Change language to English on top of the page.
* If the link to the course catalogue does not open, please pass the reCAPTCHA control and try opening the link again. For help, please contact erasmus[at]tktk.ee.

Tips for course selection:

  • Please select the courses only from the catalogue for International Studies which gathers all English taught subjects at TTK UAS for each academic year. Other courses are only offered in Estonian.
  • Courses should be selected according to your study area preferably from the module of one institute. The selection can be complemented by the subjects offered by the Centre for Humanities and Economics and the Centre for Sciences. These courses can be added to the list chosen from the pertinent institute. The Centres offer elective subjects that are more of a general nature to support specialized studies and can be chosen by students of any study field.
  • Courses offered by the institutes are specialized and, with some exceptions, usually require previous knowledge of the study field. Please read carefully the information on each subject.
  • Please check carefully the semester of the course. Below the modules, under the tab “Typical study plan” the course offering is sorted by semester.
  • Overlaps in the schedule may occur if you select courses from different academic units. In case of an overlapping schedule, you may have to change your Learning Agreement.
  • Some subjects are only offered to our sessional study students who attend classes once a month during their study sessions and therefore might fall on Saturdays.
  • Please note that there are two options for evaluation of the learning outcome: graded/ differential (graded prelim or examination) or not graded/non-differential (prelim). In case of non-differential assessment method, the student will not be given a grade, but the subject will be assessed either as “Passed” or “Failed” accordingly.
  • Please note that the Institute of Service Economy is located about 100 kms east of Tallinn, in Mõdriku village. If you choose subjects from their offer, some travel might be necessary from time to time!

Additional subjects

Erasmus students of TTK UAS can take 1-2 subjects (up to 6 ECTS) also from our partners Tallinn Health Care College and Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (EASS). The ECTS taken from our partners are fully recognized as part of your studies at TTK UAS and reflected on a separate Transcript of Records from the pertinent institution.

If you are interested in any of the following subjects, please mark them down in your SoleMove application.

Subjects from the Tallinn Health Care College

Subjects from EASS (available only fall semester, final registration deadline 01.09.2023):

RKRC5207 National and International Disaster Management
RKRC5209 Geo-Information in Civil Protection

Exchange Application

Nominated students will have to submit their exchange application through the SoleMove application system. The students will be sent a User ID and instructions to register and fill in their online application for exchange at TTK UAS after nomination.

Students will have to create their study plan and attach the following documents to their application:

  • Transcript of Records showing your grades from home university (in English)
  • Certificate of English language proficiency at B2 level (certificate may be issued by your home institution).
  • Copy of passport or ID
  • For Architecture students – a portfolio (examples of prior work)

Instructions to fill out the SoleMove online application are available here.

Once the application is submitted, we will check your documents and give feedback if any changes are needed within the application system. After your documents have been checked and your study plan has been approved, you will receive the acceptance letter and instructions for creating the Online Learning Agreement.

Application deadlines:
Fall semester: May 1
Spring semester: November 15

The notifications will be sent from noreply[at]solenovo.fi.

Learning Agreement

After your SoleMove application and the proposed study plan have been reviewed and approved, please complete and submit within two weeks from the acceptance your digital learning agreement according to the study plan approved in your online application.

  • You can access the learning agreements through your university’s mobility system or the OLA portal. Please consult with your university’s coordinator about which platform to use when in doubt.
  • Liisa Konsap, Erasmus Coordinator (liisa[at]tktk.ee), is responsible for signing the OLA at TTK UAS.
  • Please check with your university who is responsible for signing at your university.
  • Following the approved study plan in your online application, mark down the courses you want to take at TTK UAS in the table about the proposed mobility programme. The courses recognised at your home institution should be added next.
  • Once you have confirmed the learning agreement, the responsible person at your home university receives an automatic email notification to verify and sign it. After that, the Erasmus coordinator at our university gets an automatic email notification to verify and sign the OLA.
